The healthcare system is challenging. Programs and services are often disconnected, and it can be difficult to find the right care or even know where to turn for help.
BlueCare Connect brings everything together. When health benefits are easier to access and use, your employees are more likely to use them—which, over time, can help close gaps in care, improve health outcomes, and deliver greater value for your health benefits investment.
BlueCare Connect will launch in January, 2025, for all Commercial employer members (fully insured and self-funded) as well as Individual market members. Some vendor services may launch after that date.
BlueCare Connect will replace myBCBSRI. In January, members will need to register their account with BlueCare Connect.
BlueCare Connect acts like a single front door to all of your health plan benefits—plan information, health and wellness programs, health savings account, care management services, and customer support. Everything is integrated and accessible online, on the app, or over the phone via our Care Guides. Registered nurses and health coaches are also available to answer questions and provide support.
Yes, there is an embedded wellness program that features activity tracking and incentive earning opportunities. Designed to engage every member, the program includes options like health assessments, health and well-being challenges, educational content, and healthy habits.
Please note: There are several factors that determine when/if your employees will have access to the BlueCare Connect wellness program. Please see the next question for more details.
All BCBSRI Commercial members will move to the BlueCare Connect platform in January for care navigation and health support services. Whether or not the move includes access to the wellness program will be determined as follows:
- If your 2025 health plan includes BCBSRI wellness (which will be BlueCare Connect wellness) and your plan renews on 1/1, your employees will have access to BlueCare Connect wellness on 1/1.
- If your health plan includes BCBSRI wellness but your plan renews in the February – December timeframe, your employees will remain with Virgin Pulse until your plan’s renewal date and then move to BlueCare Connect wellness upon renewal. (Please note that Virgin Pulse is rebranding as Personify Health in 20 de janeiro25.)
- If your 2025 BCBSRI does not include wellness, your employees will not have access to the BlueCare Connect wellness platform at any time—regardless of your plan’s renewal date.
Nota: For clients who do not currently offer a wellness program, the BlueCare Connect wellness program will be available as a buy-up opportunity.
Benefits information and services are integrated and personalized, both online and on the app. Members can access claims and coverage information, search for doctors or cost estimates, connect with health and wellness apps, manage their health savings account, and more. They can receive personalized messages—including preventive care reminders— targeted to their interests and health goals and connect with Care Guides via live chat.
Care Guides are an integral part of BlueCare Connect. In addition to answering benefit questions, Care Guides can use available member data to recommend a member’s “next best action." These gentle nudges can help individuals keep up with important screenings/appointments and close any gaps in care.
Care Guides can locate quality doctors and low-cost care options and schedule appointments for members—saving time and eliminating frustration—and promote available health programs that align with member health goals and needs.
Registered nurses are available to help address acute health concerns, identify urgent health needs, and suggest appropriates sites of care. Certified by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), BlueCare Connect health coaches can support members in making healthy, sustainable behavior changes.
Health programs available to your employees will be visible and accessible via their BlueCare Connect dashboard—with no additional log-ins needed. The member experience within each program will remain the same.
Yes, your employees will be able to access their MyPrime accounts and review Rx information once they have logged in to BlueCare Connect.
Yes, your employees with HSAs will be able to access their London Health HSA account information once they have logged in to BlueCare Connect.
