Karen Hammond

Co-Chair

Board Co-chair Karen Hammond has worked in financial services for more than 30 years. She has experience in banking, corporate treasury, mutual funds and private equity. Ms. Hammond began her career in investment management, transitioning to roles in finance, treasury, investment research, business administration and, until her retirement, as managing director for Devonshire Investors, the private equity group associated with Fidelity Investments. Ms. Hammond has worked both domestically and abroad.

Ms. Hammond is involved with several for-profit, government and non-profit boards, including Two Harbors Investment Corporation, Rhode Island School of Design and RISD Museum, Rhode Island State Investment Commission, and Simmons College. She was previously a board member of Nellie Mae Education Foundation, Moses Brown School, and The Carroll School of Lincoln, Massachusetts. Ms. Hammond is a graduate of the University of Colorado and is a chartered financial analyst.
