Lou Giancola
Lou Giancola is a recently retired healthcare administrator with 50 years of leadership experience, including eighteen years as president and CEO of South County Health (SCH), a healthcare system in Southern Rhode Island consisting of a 100-bed hospital, a home health agency, and a 70 -provider medical group. During Lou’s tenure, the system was recognized by external bodies for its outstanding patient satisfaction, quality and staff engagement. In addition, SCH was the only health system in the state to receive a Health Equity Zone grant from the Department of Health to address social determinants of health in Washington County. Lou currently serves on the boards of the South Kingstown Jonnycake Center, the Care Transformation Collaborative, and the University of Rhode Island Foundation.
