In 2012, we started an evolution to consumer-directed healthcare for our own employees that helped put our beliefs into practice. What began with some incremental changes is now a fully integrated program focused on employee well-being. The transformation has been a revelation. We used data and insights to rethink our entire benefits program, strategy, and practice. We’ve presented our insights and conclusions in a white paper called “Taking Control of Employee Healthcare Costs," and circulated it to our partners, colleagues, and business associates. Since that time, we’ve witnessed positive results in our employee health plan, including declining PMPM healthcare costs, increased employee HSA contributions, as well as higher PCP adoption.
