PROVIDENCE, RI – Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) is offering a variety of medical and dental health insurance plans with a focus on value, wellness and convenience for the 2019 open enrollment period. Families and individuals who do not receive health coverage from an employer have the opportunity to enroll in a 2019 plan until 31 de dezembro, 2018. With three local Your Blue Store locations, Rhode Islanders can easily meet with a Blue Cross representative face-to-face to choose the best plan for their needs.

Highlights of 2019 Blue Cross medical plans include:
• The opportunity to earn up to $500 per household in wellness rewards.
• Access to a wide network of local providers as well as options for national coverage.
• Free in-network well visits, flu shots and other preventive services.
• Free educational programs on asthma, diabetes and smoking cessation.
• Discounts on CVS branded health-related items.
• Customer service by phone seven days a week and in-person assistance at Your Blue Store locations in East Providence, Lincoln and Warwick.

“The plans we are offering for 2019 include an enhanced emphasis on value and convenience and reflect feedback from Rhode Islanders," said Melissa Cummings, BCBSRI’s executive vice president and chief customer officer. “Our three Your Blue Store locations, wellness incentives and free services and educational information were all designed to help members take charge of their health." 

With a continued focus on wellness in 2019, BCBSRI plans feature programs, technology and tools that meet members where they are:
• Doctors Online – Blue Cross’s telehealth solution connects members with a doctor anytime – 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.  A great, convenient option for common symptoms and conditions.
• Earn rewards for healthy activities – Blue Cross’s wellness program, powered by Virgin Pulse, allows members to earn up to $500, per household, in incentives by completing various healthy activities. Members can also save 20 percent on CVS brand health-related items. 
• Information just a finger tap away - At the doctor’s office (or anywhere), members can check benefits, view claims history or find nearby specialists. Download Your Blue Touch RI from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Your Blue Wire – Members can sign up to receive secure mobile messages about their health and health plan on a mobile device. They can receive benefit updates, money-saving tips and reminders about tests and screenings.

A face-to-face opportunity
To learn more about BCBSRI’s health plans in person, Rhode Islanders can visit Your Blue Store retail locations in East Providence at 71 Highland Avenue (Highland Commons), in Lincoln at 622 George Washington Highway (Lincoln Mall Shopping Center) or in Warwick at 300 Quaker Lane (Cowesett Corners). Store hours are:
• Monday and Thursday - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Saturday - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
