BCBSRI has collaborated with James Andriotis, M.D., of Child and Family Psychiatry, to provide increased access to psychiatry services for children and adolescents. Dr. Andriotis trained at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Bradley Hospital, and has extensive experience treating pediatric psychiatric patients.

Child and Family Psychiatry is able to provide urgent appointments for BCBSRI pediatric members in need of an evaluation with a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Urgent appointments are not intended for routine referrals.

If a BCBSRI patient is in need of an urgent appointment, please call Child and Family Psychiatry and indicate you are looking for a BCBSRI urgent appointment. You may also fax a referral to the practice. The practice will follow up with the patient to schedule the appointment and coordinate care with you. Child and Family Psychiatry will continue to provide treatment services for the patient as clinically indicated.

The office also has several therapists available, who are also accepting referrals.
