In light of the recent Food and Drug Administration approval and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendation regarding the COVID-19 booster, we wish to remind providers of obligations pursuant to RIGL 27-18-86(b), which prohibits in-network providers and pharmacies from imposing member cost-sharing for the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Please update your systems promptly to ensure that cost-sharing is waived for all fully insured commercial members who receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
