When your office staff logs into the provider portal on bcbsri.com to verify member benefits and eligibility, you also can review the member’s accumulator. The member accumulator gives you access to the most updated information regarding if the member has met their individual or family deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
To find the member accumulator, log in to your bcbsri.com account. Once logged in, select Patient Eligibility, then select “Check Eligibility (Member ID Search)." You will then be asked to enter the following information in order to pull up the member’s account: Member ID, last name, first name, date of birth, and the date of service (then click submit). Once you’re on the medical benefits page, scroll down to the bottom to view the member’s deductible accumulator and out-of-pocket accumulator.
