At BCBSRI, we are committed to providing the best care to our members regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. Delivering this high-level care starts with ensuring our providers have access to trainings on the topics of health equity, including cultural competence, bias, diversity, and inclusion. We updated our list of Health Equity and Cultural Comptency Resources in an effort to help you deliver the best care for your patients in a way that meets both their cultural and linguistic needs. We believe the impacts of taking these trainings like these will help to reduce health disparities and assist you respond to each of your patient’s unique needs and preferences.
You can access these resources within the provider portal, under the Tools & Resources tab. Trainings are pulled directly from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health and other credible resources and will be reviewed by our team and updated annually. Thank you for doing your part in helping us achieve health equity!
