BCBSRI is taking additional steps to support its individual and group Medicare Advantage (MA) members during the COVID-19 crisis. Effective for dates of service of 17 de agosto, 2020 and through 31 de dezembro, 2020, BCBSRI individual and group Medicare Advantage members will have a $0 copay for the following services due to the public health emergency associated with COVID-19:

Médicos

• $0 primary care provider copays – now across all MA plans
• $0 mental health/substance use disorder copays
• $0 inpatient hospital, mental health, and observation stays
• $0 diagnostic labs, X-rays, and imaging – now across all MA plans
• $0 physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
• $0 pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation
• $0 Part B infusion and injection drugs
   
  Farmácia

• $0 Tier 1 prescription copays – now across all MA plans
• $0 most insulin drugs*
• $0 most inhalers*
• $0 dementia drugs
• An additional $100 of over-the-counter (OTC) benefit for the 4th quarter (1 de outubrost through 31 de dezembrost)
   
  Updated ID cards will not be issued reflecting the changes noted above. We have updated our IVR and provider portal to reflect the 17 de agosto, 2020 changes, and we encourage providers to use these tools to verify benefits.
