When you are due for recredentialing, BCBSRI will verify with CAQH that you have a current application on file. If all of your required credentialing documents are current, we will access the information and process the application. You will be notified by BCBSRI if you have missing or outdated documents. NCQA and CMS impose strict time frames for the recredentialing process. We are required to recredential you every 36 months. Your timely response to our notice helps us avoid unnecessary delays and possible denial or termination. It is also important that you maintain your CAQH application with updated and validated information so that BCBSRI can access your online application and complete the recredentialing process timely.
