BCBSRI’s Supervisory Protocol has been expanded to include physician assistants. Effective 1 de julho, 2024, physician assistants who are working towards a specialization in behavioral health will be able to render services under the supervision of either a physician assistant – behavioral health (PA-BH) or a licensed psychiatrist practicing within a behavioral health setting.
