Cara Cromwell is a veteran public affairs strategist with more than thirty years of experience providing counsel to corporate clients, public agencies, elected officials, and advocacy organizations.

Ms. Cromwell founded Cromwell Public Affairs in 2005 and works with clients to help define, guide, and execute their public affairs initiatives. While the firm specializes in strategic communications and media relations, Ms. Cromwell has also worked extensively in government affairs, grassroots advocacy, and campaign management.

Before forming Cromwell Public Affairs, Ms. Cromwell spent 12 years in Washington, D.C. and was a vice president with Edelman. Ms. Cromwell worked with veteran strategists Brian Lunde and George Burger and directed numerous successful state and federal public affairs initiatives on a variety of issues including health care, childhood vaccines, technology, international trade and aerospace. Ms. Cromwell also served as executive press assistant to Rhode Island Governor Bruce Sundlun and worked on his two successful gubernatorial campaigns.

Ms. Cromwell graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a B.A.in history and politics. She currently serves as chair of the Lincoln School Alumnae Association board and is a trustee of the Rogers Free Library in Bristol, Rhode Island.
